I recently had a former Realtor tell me that home Inspectors are a necessary evil, while I do not offend easily, I find that statement a bit short sighted. She insinuated that we as Inspectors are not really needed, it's just something to put up with in the process of buying a home. I would beg to differ because I have helped many people to make sure their purchase is worth the cost, it's what I do and I love it because I know at the end of the day I made a difference in someones biggest lifetime purchase. Inspectors are the last line of defense for a home buyer who is about to make perhaps the biggest investment of their lives. When you get a Home Inspection you get valuable information about your purchase which allows you and your Realtor to either negotiate the price of the home or credit towards the repairs, or in some cases, walk away. Bottom line, a Home Inspection gives you the information you need to make the correct decision. At Rising Tide Home Inspection I do things a little different that some other Inspectors. I only do 1 Inspection per day, deliver the report in less than 24 hours instead of a generic report in a driveway without reviewing or proofreading and give fair prices without trip charges or added fees, the price quoted is always the price, period! I also use my business to promote other businesses I reomnmend to my clients that I have worked with over the years because I want my clients to have the same Contractors who hold my Standards of Excellence which is why I recommend these people in my reports. I believe Faith and business should go hand in hand and I strive everyday to make it a part of my business, that means, always do the right thing even if no one sees it. Over the years I have worked with some great Realtor's who care like I do, I wish I had time and space to list them all, but if you need a Realtor, I can recommend some great ones. So if 2025 is your year to buy a house, don't forget that Inspection too!
